MIXING COLOURS, DARKS AND WHITES TOGETHER
First rule of washing: separate your colours. Make sure your staff and your customers know that washing similar colours together is a must! Keep white clothing separate from dark and coloured clothing, and make sure you wash similar fabrics together too.
USING TOO MUCH DETERGENT
Don't be tempted to add an extra capful of detergent to your laundromat washers for extra cleaning, it doesn't work that way. Adding too much detergent can actually stain the fabric and leave residue on them too. Always follow the usage instructions on the washing instruction label of your detergent of choice.
USING TOO LITTLE DETERGENT
Similarly, using too little detergent won't wash the clothing and fabric as effectively as it should. Don't be tempted to cut costs by cutting back on detergent. Always use the right amount of detergent for the load size you're washing.
CHOOSING THE WRONG CYCLE
Be sure to choose the right wash cycle on the laundromat washing machines that pertain to the type of fabric, linen or clothing you're washing. If the clothing needs a cold wash, be sure to choose a cold wash cycle or if it needs a delicate wash, be sure to choose a delicate wash cycle and so on.
